The Federal Bar Association held a “Passing the Torch” ceremony on Friday as new chief judges prepare to take office in the Southern and Eastern Districts.
From left, Southern District Judge Colleen McMahon, Eastern District Judge Dora Irizarry, Southern District Judge Loretta Preska and Eastern District Judge Carol Bagley Amon. McMahon will succeed Preska as chief judge on June 1. Irizarry will take the reins from Amon on April 23.
