A bill introduced in the state Legislature would designate a section of interstate highway in Rockland County in honor of former U.S. Supreme Court justice Thurgood Marshall.

The bill (A9750/S7276) designating the state Thruway’s interchange with Interstate 287 in the Village of Hillburn as the “Thurgood Marshall Interchange” was introduced in each chamber earlier this month and is currently before their transportation committees.
