New York City and state have now agreed to pay more than $66 million to six people who served lengthy prison terms for two 1995 murders in the Bronx, lawyers for some of the six said Friday.
The city told Southern District Judge Jesse Furman that it reached an agreement with attorneys for Devon Ayers, Michael Cosme and Carlos Perez, convicted of murdering livery car driver Baithe Diop and FedEx Executive Denise Raymond; and Eric Glisson and Cathy Watkins, convicted of Diop’s murder.
