A Queens attorney who pleaded guilty to his role in a bribery scheme to get a Democratic state senator to run as a Republican in the 2013 New York City mayoral race has been disbarred.
Vincent Tabone, 49, was convicted of five felony counts in February 2015, including conspiracy to commit wire fraud and bribery, wire fraud, use of interstate facilities to commit bribery and witness tampering. He was sentenced to 42 months in prison and ordered to forfeit $25,000.
