Allan Winick, a retired Nassau County Supreme Court justice whose law clerks all went on to be elected as Nassau County justices themselves, has died. He was 89.

Winick was born in Brooklyn and served in World War II. He obtained a bachelor’s degree in accounting from New York University in 1947 and obtained his J.D. from NYU Law in 1950.
