A man prohibited under an order of protection from contacting his ex-girlfriend may be charged with contempt for asking to follow her Instagram page, a judge ruled.

Manhattan Criminal Court Judge Steven Statsinger denied a motion by defendant Nicholas Lemons to dismiss as facially insufficient a second-degree criminal contempt charge based on Lemons’ alleged attempt to contact the woman through Instagram.
