The New York City Law Department has contracted with Debevoise & Plimpton and Carter Ledyard & Milburn to represent the city during probes into Mayor Bill de Blasio’s campaign fundraising operations and a land deal connected to a health care facility.

With both the Southern District U.S. Attorney’s Office and the Manhattan District Attorney’s Office conducting investigations, a Law Department statement said, “as part of our cooperation with law enforcement inquiries,” it has retained the law firms “to represent the city and assist in document collection and review.”
