Joan Wexler, the former president of Brooklyn Law School who was the school’s first female dean, has joined litigation boutique Schlam Stone & Dolan as of counsel.

Wexler, who also has served as president of the Federal Bar Council, joined the faculty at Brooklyn Law in 1985 and became dean in 1994. She was the first woman to take the job, which she held until 2010.
