Although New York was in the middle of the pack of the latest ratings of the National Center for Access to Justice, in some respects it is a national leader, according to the center’s director.
The District of Columbia and Massachusetts ranked highest in providing access to justice for civil litigants, while Mississippi and Wyoming were at the bottom of the “Justice Index 2016” ratings by the center, housed at Yeshiva University Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law.
