An appeals court has upheld the denial of World Trade Center-related retirement benefits to a former Yonkers police officer.

The Appellate Division, Third Department, panel ruled Thursday in Matter of Del Peschio v. DiNapoli, 521821, that former officer Michael Del Peschio failed to present medical evidence definitively linking the respiratory problems that forced his retirement in 2011 and his assignment to the World Trade Center site following the terrorist attack of Sept. 11, 2001.
