Boies Schiller & Flexner is absorbing a five-attorney New York litigation boutique headed by Sean O’Shea, a former federal prosecutor. O’Shea and his co-partner at O’Shea Partners, Michael Petrella, will join Boies Schiller on June 1, along with boutique associates Brian Alexander, Amanda Devereux and Marc Feingold.

O’Shea, 59, founded O’Shea Partners in 1996 after leaving the Eastern District U.S. Attorney’s Office, where he was chief of the business securities fraud section. The boutique, focusing on white-collar criminal defense and civil litigation, has represented a former AIG executive against the insurance giant and bondholders in the Argentina debt crisis, as co-counsel with David Boies.
