The City University of New York School of Law has named as dean Mary Lu Bilek, who has served on the CUNY Law faculty and has led the University of Massachusetts School of Law since 2012. She will begin on Aug. 15.
Bilek graduated from Harvard Law School and was admitted in 1981. She was an associate at Paul, Weiss, Rifkind, Wharton & Garrison and joined the CUNY Law faculty in 1985. She ascended to associate dean and, during the 2005-06 academic year, served as CUNY Law’s interim dean.
