The state Legislature has passed a bill to aid human trafficking victims, which sponsors said was inspired by a state Supreme Court justice and the New York County Lawyers’ Association.

The legislation will require the state Office of Children and Family Services to develop and distribute posters with the number of the National Human Trafficking Resource Center’s hotline and a description of the services available to people who call, said Assemblywoman Aravella Simotas, D-Queens.
