A judge has rejected a petition filed against New York County Clerk Milton Tingling by an attorney who alleged that a 2014 order in a wrongful death case was filed by an unauthorized Supreme Court employee.

On Dec. 24, 2014, Manhattan Supreme Court Justice Shlomo Hagler had granted a motion to dismiss the wrongful death suit, which involves the deaths of three people in a North Carolina house fire, as New York was an inconvenient forum.
