Donors who gave thousands of dollars to back the reelection of Janet DiFiore as Westchester County district attorney in November instead are funding internships for law students.

DiFiore, who is no longer a candidate but has been serving as chief judge since Jan. 19, has donated $940,000 in unused campaign funds to the Catalyst Public Service Fellowship Program, which has paid stipends to 18 students for positions that otherwise would be unpaid.
