“Irreparable harm” will be done to transgender people if North Carolina is allowed to restrict their use of bathrooms in government buildings, the attorneys general of 10 states, including New York, argue in an amicus curiae brief.

Attorney General Eric Schneiderman said New York took the lead in preparing the brief, which was filed Wednesday in the Middle District of North Carolina.
