Gov. Andrew Cuomo signed a bill Wednesday allowing New York state to regulate, and profit from, fantasy sports games like those offered by FanDuel and DraftKings.

The new law requires game operators to register with the state Gaming Commission and pay a 15 percent tax on gross revenues, which would go into the same account as state lottery revenues and be earmarked for education.
