Forty-two state Supreme Court justices approaching or past age 70 are seeking to continue their judicial careers for extra terms under the certification program.
The group includes four justices assigned to the Appellate Division by Gov. Andrew Cuomo and 20 justices in all who are seeking certification for a first time.
