ALBANY – The severity of punishment for a judge accused of displaying “explosive anger” will be among the issues before the Court of Appeals on Tuesday when it resumes its 2016 session.
The state Commission on Judicial Conduct has recommended that Alan Simon, who is also an attorney in West Nyack, be removed as Spring Valley Village Court and Ramapo Town Court for not only his injudicious temperament, but also for improperly politicking for a Rockland County executive candidate in 2013 and other alleged misconduct.
