Construction of a park on a platform over the Hudson River does not violate New York’s environmental review or parkland use laws, an appellate court ruled Thursday.

The unanimous decision by the Appellate Division, First Department, panel affirmed Manhattan Supreme Court Justice Joan Lobis’ ruling in April allowing construction on the project known as Pier 55 to go forward (NYLJ, April 11).
