The Lawyers Who Lead by Example project allows the New York Law Journal to turn the spotlight on attorneys who have recognized that practicing law is a privilege that comes with a responsibility to give back.
The 25 lawyers who are profiled in this special report are recognized in three categories: Lifetime Achievement, Public Service and Pro Bono. They work in all facets of the law: large and small law firms, public interest groups, government and academia. They have given their time to join task forces, volunteer with bar associations and advocate for pro bono clients. But most of all, their work has made a difference in the lives of some of the most vulnerable people in society.
