At the Legal Aid Society in New York City, which Seymour James Jr. oversees, there is a saying: “Make the impossible possible.”
This motto has served the 68-year-old attorney well in his 42-year legal career at the Legal Aid Society and two years at the helm of the New York State Bar Association. When asked if he regretted never having worked in a white-shoe law firm, James laughed.
