Public service started in the eighth grade for Lisa Linsky, a partner at McDermott Will & Emery, when a troubled classmate asked her for guidance in a personal matter involving child protective services.
“He lived with his aunt and uncle, and I remember listening to him and offering him my advice,” she says. “Afterward, I remember thinking where did this come from? How did I know what to say?”
