A federal judge has dismissed a lawsuit charging Uber with false advertising in New York City over the background checks on its drivers.
Eastern District Judge Frederic Block said statements made by the mobile app riding company were “adspeak” as he tossed out the claims of two New York City black-car companies under the Lanham Act and New York General Business Law.
