Attorney General Eric Schneiderman is calling on the New York Board of Elections to ensure that poll workers are properly informed of affidavit balloting rules during general election voting on Nov. 8.

In a letter Monday to the four state election commissioners, Schneiderman said a survey by his office showed inconsistent written rules and training by county boards of elections. He said his office is “concerned that many poll workers will be unaware of, or confused about, their legal obligations to provide affidavit ballots.”
