Voters will approve 37 candidates for state Supreme Court judgeships in elections on Nov. 8, but few of the contests will be in competitive races.
Of the open seats, 30 are races where major-party candidates—typically, Democrats in New York City or Republicans outside the city—have been cross-endorsed by the other party or face no major-party opponent.
