A former New York state senator whose law license was suspended earlier this year after being convicted of obstruction has been disbarred for practicing while suspended.
John Sampson, a Democrat, represented parts of Brooklyn for nearly two decades until his July 2015 conviction in the Eastern District of attempting to cover up the embezzlement of $400,000 from sales of foreclosed homes.
