The enhanced responsibilities being imposed on prosecutors’ offices throughout New York require more resources from the state in its next fiscal year, the president of the New York District Attorneys Association said.

Rockland County District Attorney Thomas Zugibe said in a letter to Gov. Andrew Cuomo this week that district attorneys are being required to show expertise in more and more areas, but that it costs money for them to do so in a meaningful way.
