After leading the prosecution of one of New York’s top political power brokers, Carrie Cohen won a conviction of ex-Assembly Speaker Sheldon Silver on public corruption charges. She swapped her role as a Southern District assistant U.S. attorney in May for a partnership in Big Law, where she has negotiated a plea agreement for a state judge on felony charges of bribery and filing a false instrument, and she is a lead member of a team defending UPS in a cigarette shipping case. She also gives back by volunteering on several law-related boards, including the New York City Bar Association, where she is vice president and chair of the executive committee.
