A Garden City attorney has been charged with orchestrating a scheme to funnel residents of “three-quarters” housing in Brooklyn through Medicaid-funded drug treatment programs, whether they needed treatment or not.
Anthony Cornachio is accused in papers filed by his office in Brooklyn state Supreme Court and in New York City Criminal Court of grand larceny, money laundering and Medicaid billing violations, according to Attorney General Eric Schneiderman’s office.
