A lawsuit filed against a New York City nursing home based on its allegedly poor treatment of an elderly patient may go forward, a state judge has ruled.
Bronx Supreme Court Justice Fernando Tapia denied a motion from the St. Barnabas Rehabilitation and Continuing Care Center to dismiss the suit filed on behalf of Eladia Ciprian for the center’s alleged failure to correctly diagnose and treat a hematoma in the elderly patient’s right bicep.
