A federal appeals court on Monday swiftly rejected a bid for a new trial by convicted Russian arms trafficker Viktor Bout.
Bout’s attorney had tried to argue that new evidence on government misconduct in the handling of a key witness required another trial for Bout, dubbed “The Merchant of Death,” but the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit disagreed.
