The state’s highest court has affirmed the denial of reinstatement of a former Long Island attorney, finding that he failed to abide by the terms of a 2004 disbarment order.

The Court of Appeals ruled that the Appellate Division, Second Department, was best situated to pass judgment on Donald William Leo’s attempt to get his license back and that “no abuse of discretion” occurred in the panel’s decision in December 2014 rejecting the attorney’s reinstatement application.
