Ticket-seller Wantickets has filed a state suit against competitor Eventbrite, alleging the company “encouraged and participated” in “disloyal acts” committed by two former Wantickets executives who joined Eventbrite’s team.

The lawsuit, filed Nov. 21 in Manhattan Supreme Court, claims Eventbrite explored “the potential acquisition” of Wantickets between March and July—a move that ultimately never happened. During that time, Wantickets’ “two most senior executives engaged in a four-month campaign to promote Eventbrite to Wantickets’ actual and potential clients, even though the executives were still employed by Wantickets and even though there was no guarantee the transaction would close,” according to the complaint.
