A former village court justice from northern New York has been indicted for allegedly reducing a traffic fine for a defendant in exchange for sex, the state attorney general’s office said Tuesday.
Ex-West Carthage Village Court Justice Delmar House pleaded not guilty before Jefferson County Court Judge Kim Martusewicz and was discharged on pre-trial release under the supervision of a probation officer. He is charged with third-degree bribe-receiving and second-degree receipt of a reward for official misconduct, both felonies.
