Bronx District Attorney Darcel Clark’s request to convene a special grand jury in the case of a police officer who shot and killed a mentally disturbed woman presents a crucial test as Clark prepares to enter her second year in office, according to experts.
Last week, Clark announced that she would ask Bronx Supreme Court Justice Robert Torres to impanel a grand jury to investigate the fatal shooting of Deborah Danner by New York City Police Department Sgt. Hugh Barry.
