Former Rikers Island guard Brian Coll was found guilty Thursday in the 2012 beating and kicking death of 52-year-old pretrial detainee Ronald Spear.
A jury deliberated less than four hours over two days in the courtroom of Southern District Judge Loretta Preska before convicting Coll on all five counts.
