A former attorney has been barred from collecting fees for representing a personal injury plaintiff while also representing the defendant in that case in a divorce.

A Westchester County judge said that ex-lawyer Stephen Krawitz had a “clear conflict of interest” and could not collect fees from the plaintiff, who was injured when a balcony railing gave way and sued a woman who later became Krawitz’s client.
