New evidence has led a federal judge to reconsider sanctions she imposed against a current partner and a former attorney with DLA Piper for violating a court order not to interfere with the interview of witnesses in prescription drug litigation in New York.
In July, Southern District Judge Katherine Forrest ordered partner Brian John Pendleton Jr. to pay $10,000 for allegedly telling Jeffrey Reed, a former employee of the firm’s client, Benecard Services Inc., on a phone call not to speak with opposing counsel in the litigation.
