A nonprofit nursing home in Brooklyn has filed a lawsuit against its new owner, alleging that the Allure Group Inc. lied about keeping the facility as a nursing home so that it could win bidding on the property and then work to flip it to a developer for a massive profit.
The 55-page complaint also contends that Allure, soon after buying the nursing home in 2015, began forcing out frail residents, causing some of them to die prematurely.
