The briefing is almost complete on the prosecution’s appeal of a former hedge manager’s claim that his business was wrecked because of fabricated evidence in a search warrant and a highly publicized raid on his offices by Southern District U.S. Attorney Preet Bharara.

In a closely watched case at the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit, prosecutors insist that both the warrant and the November 2010 raid on the offices of David Ganek and Level Global investors in an insider trading investigation were proper.
