An FBI agent’s admission that he was the source of leaks to the media about a pending insider trading investigation was before a federal judge in Manhattan on Wednesday.
In a battle over grand jury secrecy, attorney Barry Berke, arguing for Las Vegas sports gambler William “Billy” Walters, told Southern District Judge Kevin Castel that the leaks by the unnamed agent about ongoing grand jury proceedings in 2014 harmed his client.
