Handing out inside information to ingratiate himself with a friend led former Barclays director Steven McClatchey to receive a five-month prison sentence Wednesday.

McClatchey told Southern District Judge Katherine Polk Failla that his decision to share the inside word on some 10 mergers or acquisitions with friend Gary Pusey over a 19-month period was a “really stupid, poorly thought-out, life-ruining” event for which he will feel remorse “every day for the rest of my life.”
