An attorney and the operators of two “three-quarter” homes in New York City were arraigned Thursday on charges of participating in a scheme where residents were forced to receive taxpayer-funded drug treatment, whether they needed it or not.
Attorney Anthony Cornachio, 74, of Garden City is alleged in an investigation by state Attorney General Eric Schneiderman’s office to have accepted the residents as clients at two drug treatment programs he controls, NRI Group and Canarsie Aware Inc.
