A New York appeals court has affirmed a $10,000 sanctions order against a former associate at Mintz Levin Cohn Ferris Glovsky and Popeo over the attorney’s conduct in his divorce.

In a September 2015 ruling, Manhattan Supreme Court Justice Matthew Cooper said Anthony Zappin, representing himself in his own divorce, had “done everything in his power to undermine the legal process and use his law license as a tool to threaten, bully and intimidate,” and imposed sanctions against Zappin under 22 NYCRR §130-1.1 (NYLJ, Sept. 22, 2015).
