ALBANY – The commercial bar, which for years has advocated for an experienced commercial litigator to be placed on the state’s highest court, hailed the nomination of Cravath, Swaine & Moore partner Rowan Wilson over the weekend.

Wilson’s nomination by Gov. Andrew Cuomo, which is subject to state Senate confirmation, would represent Cuomo’s appointment of all seven current members to the Court of Appeals since the Democrat became governor in 2011.
