The attorneys general of five states, including New York, and the District of Columbia urged the chairman of the U.S. Senate Judiciary Committee to reject Sen. Jeff Sessions III as U.S. attorney general.

The officials, all Democrats, said they have “grave concern, about Republican President-elect Donald Trump’s nominee, and that Sessions did little in his appearance on Jan. 10 before the Judiciary Committee to allay those worries.
