A career court officer has been named chief of security for courts outside New York City, and will oversee safety policies and procedures in all trial-level courts in 57 counties.
Sean Egan, who joined the court system 26 years ago, succeeds Chief Sean McCartney, who retired last month after 33 years with the state court system.
