ALBANY – In a reflection of the growing importance of state governments to the internet economy, the Internet Association said it is opening an office in Albany to “engage” New York state public policy makers on digital-age issues.

“New York state is at the epicenter of some of the country’s most important internet policy debates,” the president of the Washington, D.C.-based association, Michael Beckerman, said. “We’re excited to engage on policies that create economic opportunities for businesses and middle-class families in the Empire State.”
