A former Dutchess County legislator who was convicted last year of sexually abusing two Boy Scouts during a camping trip and sentenced to up to seven years in prison has been disbarred.

Michael Kelsey, 38, was found guilty in May 2016 in St. Lawrence County of first-degree sexual abuse, a class D felony; first-degree attempted sexual abuse, a class E felony; and forcible touching and endangering the welfare of a child, which are both class A misdemeanors.
